BioRepublic SkinCare offers four different facial sheet masks to rejuvenate the skin.
Claiming to be the first eco-conscious sheet mask brand on the market, BioRepublic SkinCare offers four pleasantly-scented facial sheet masks—Pomegranate Crush, Cucumber Breeze, Green Tea Detox and Aloe Rescue. The eco-friendly masks are made with bamboo fiber, which consumes less water in production than trees used for masks made with pulp fiber; reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere compared to trees used for pulp fiber; prevents soil erosion and deforestation; and does not require fertilizers or pesticides, according to the company. The 15-minute facial treatments deliver nutrients and moisture to the skin using ingredients such as witch hazel water, licorice root, star anise, green tea extract and vitamin E. I got a chance to test out the Cucumber Breeze Soothing Sheet Mask and Pomegranate Crush Illuminating Sheet Mask. The Cucumber Breeze mask is infused with natural cucumber extract, plant collagen and vitamin E. Its meant to soothe stressed skin and improve complexion, tighten pores and reduce the appearance of fine lines, and create calm, rejuvenated skin. When putting the mask on, I felt a nice tingly, almost cold sensation, which was certainly nice on a 90°F day, and the cucumber scent was very refreshing. I removed the mask after 15 minutes and rubbed the remaining serum left on my face into my skin, though there still seemed to be a good amount of serum left on the mask. The Pomegranate Crush mask also had a nice scent—it didn’t seem much like pomegranate to me, but it was pleasing nonetheless. The mask is infused with natural pomegranate and green tee extract and is designed to brighten and energize skin tone, even and smooth out the complexion and create radiant, fresh and balanced skin. I left this one on a little longer, just over 20 minutes, and it seemed that more serum absorbed into my skin. Like the other sheet masks I’ve tried out, it’s recommended that new masks be used 2-3 times per week to see results. And though I didn’t see significant results, I did enjoy the products.
